How we design SQEDULE
We design to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, including:
- clear, readable content in plain English
- logical navigation, the same on every page
- labelled forms and controls, with clear error messages and instructions
- everything usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus
- text contrast that meets AA
- text that can be enlarged to 200% and pages that reflow on small screens
- alternative text for meaningful images
- support for screen readers and other assistive technologies
- respect for reduced-motion settings
Accessibility information from providers
Providers can tell us what access each of their locations offers: step-free access, an accessible toilet, a lift to treatment rooms, a ground-floor treatment room, a hearing loop and accessible parking (Blue Badge). You can filter your search by these, and the clinic page shows what the clinic says each location has. The filter applies to in-clinic appointments only, because the features describe the building: online appointments and home visits are shown whatever the location declares.
This is the provider's own description; SQEDULE does not inspect locations. A location that has not told us about a feature is not shown for in-clinic appointments when you filter for it. If access matters for your visit, check with the clinic before you go.
Tell us if something isn't accessible
If you have difficulty using any part of SQEDULE, tell us what you were trying to do and what went wrong so we can investigate. Contact us about accessibility.
